On September 8, RA Justice minister, David Harutyunyan, said that the rumors claiming that he is going to be nominated for president during the upcoming Armenian presidential elections are not accurate.. “They’re just making things up. I am not going to be nominated for sure”, said David Harutyunyan. Nevertheless, he is going to join a political party in the future. “Yes, I think I will join some party. There is one party that I am interested in joining”, said David Harutyunyan. He said that he would make his final decision on joining any political power either at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2007. He didn’t mention what party he had in mind and didn’t even speak about several potential parties that would be in his interest. Recently, rumor has it that he is going to join the “Prosperous Armenia” party, but D. Harutyunyan said, “Those rumors are false.”
