On Sept. 4, the National Unity party faction made an announcement:

“Dear compatriots, there is criminality in all fields of Armenia, including the political field. Instead of rating the political field, Armenian authorities are trying to cover up. The murderers backed by state officials continue to commit crimes even after a short, formal imprisonment,” as stated in the announcement. It’s also stated that the 100% electoral proportional list was the first try to reduce the power of the authority clan and prohibit the massive group of criminals to enter the Armenian parliament.

“The illegitimate authorities rejected the opposition’s offer. The National Unity party has helped update the “voting code” by proposing amendments for 19 articles, but the Kocharyan-Sargsyan duo is trying to propose its “voting code” draft at the parliament, which is fa from guaranteeing fair, liberal elections,” say National Unity faction delegates and add that their party won’t sign under any such document.
