September 1st, 2006, marks the 15th anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh. In light of this event, RA president Robert Kocharyan sent a congratulating message. “The presence of a strong and democratic state in Karabakh is very important for settling the conflict peacefully and fairly”, as stated in the president’s message and states that all Armenians and Armenia have to support Karabakh to develop and be recognized internationally. On September 1, a delegation headed by prime minister Andranik Margaryan left for Stepanakert to take part in the celebrations.
