Leader of the “Azgayin Miabanutyun” (National Unity) Artashes Geghamyan
says that he is carefully following up on each privatization
transaction being made. Artashes Geghamyan has also been observing the
recent privatization of the Copper Ardent Factory. He has come to the
following conclusion: “That transaction reminds me of a dumb villager
that kills his chicken that lays golden eggs to make some meat, or when
he kills the cow waiting for a calf to be born and makes a sacrifice.
It is a senseless transaction. Let’s put aside the factory that has an
average income of 20 million dram a year. What about the condensed
material which has such a strategic importance for the ardent factory?
They should be thinking about developing the material in Armenia so
that we can get the product and find our place in the foreign market.
However, instead of that, they believe that we don’t need any of that.”
