After having discussions in Yerevan and Baku concerning the fire in forests, EU special representative Peter Semnebi said that the sides should do their best not to have the same incontrollable situation again. “That issue concerns both sides. In spite of the conflict and disputes connected with that conflict, I think that the parties should be interested in founding a joint organization, which will fight against burning forests. Of course, for doing that they will need international support”, said Peter Semnebi according to “Trend”. He said that he hoped that the issue of founding such an organization would be discussed because there was a lack of that. “It can also be an attempt to create contacts and relations between the parties in a territory, where they will live together in the future”, said Peter Semnebi. The press secretary of the Azeri foreign affairs ministry said, “Azerbaijan is ready to collaborate with Armenia to overcome the results of the fire”. “Azerbaijan understands the importance and ecological danger of this problem in the region and is ready to collaborate with Armenia,” said the press secretary.
