“One of the reasons that the EU is interested in conflict settlements, as well as in the Karabakh conflict settlement, is the fact that next year the EU borders will reach the region,” said EU special representative Peter Semnebi. He said that they were not going to substitute the OSCE Minsk group with a group represented by EU. “This is the reason why I wouldn’t like to make new recommendations or come up with new proposals for the conflict settlement,” said Peter Semnebi.
