The G8 summit cannot oblige the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to sign a peace contract. This is what head of the international relations department of Political and Military Research institute, Sergey Marcedonov said to “panorama.net”. According to him, there isn’t any universal solution worked out so far, which may be accepted by both Azerbaijan and Armenia. “There isn’t any political compromise. That is the reason why each of the sides says what it wants. At the same time, they shouldn’t forget about the interests of Stepanakert either. Currently there aren’t any new ideas for the conflict settlement that can be agreed on. It seems that the greatest leaders of the world are using the Karabakh conflict for PR purposes only”, noted Marcedonov.
