According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the USD exchange rate will continue to go down. According to “Regnum”, the CB predicts that USD will continue falling in price both at the end of this year and during the first part of 2007. During the first three months of 2006 the Armenian national currency went up in its price almost for 6,54%, which is due to the fall of USD prices in the international market and increase in the number of money transfers. According to the CB, in the first part of 2006 the number of direct money transfers increased by 36,5%. As for inflation, it will cover 3,05%. According to the CB, inflation will cover 4,1% in June, 2007. Currently there are no risks of oil price increase. At the same time, world grain prices may increase and grain export capacities from Russia and Ukraine may shorten. According to the CB, these factors may influence grain prices in the Armenian market.
