Deputy head of the “GazProm” company’s administrative staff Alexander Ryazanov said that “Gazprom” wants to purchase the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline during the company’s annual meeting on June 30. Ryazanov said that the goal of purchasing the pipeline is the necessity to raise the level of gas supply in Armenia because the exchange of gas from Georgia isn’t stable. It is worth mentioning that the Armenian authorities have mentioned many times that they don’t plan on privatizing the Iran-Armenia gas pipeline.
