“It seems to me that Azerbaijan is losing its opportunity of resolving the conflict peacefully. I didn’t take part in the negotiations, but the president informed me and I am of the opinion that Azerbaijan is simply losing that opportunity”, said RA defense minister Serge Sargsyan. What the minister means is that Azerbaijan was given an opportunity to return some territories peacefully, but they refused to make compromises. The compromise is to recognize the right of self-orientation of citizens Karabakh, as well as their right of being independent. In other words, this version called “territories for freedom” was not accepted by Azerbaijan.
