On May 31, head of the Russian Armenians’ Union, Ara Abrahamyan, organized a press conference dedicated to the recent murders of Armenians committed by skinheads in Russia. Two Armenians were killed in Moscow in May. It is said that there were more murders, but this is confidential. Ara Abrahamyan said that this issue didn’t only concern, but generally the state and said that the society shouldn’t accept such groups, “This not only concerns Armenians, but everyone, and if we all put in some effort we may find a way out of this situation”. As a possible solution Ara Abrahamyan recommended organizing round tables with the participation of civic groups and police representatives.
