During his term, former speaker of the RA National Assembly, Arthur Baghdasaryan, used to take advantage of his position and the budget to establish good contacts outside Armenia. No matter how much his colleagues want to present him as “a Euro candidate”, he is still unknown both in Europe and Russia. According to our information, one time, when Arthur Baghdasaryan visited France, he wanted to meet the Minister of France internal affairs, head of “Union for citizens” party, Nikola Sarkozi, who is considered as the most possible candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in France. But he hadn’t heard the name Arthur Baghdasaryan and he tried to find out who he was from the Armenian Ambassador to France. As a matter of fact, nobody in Russia knows Arthur Baghdasaryan either. However, there are well-known oppositionists, for instance Artashes Geghamyan, Vazgen Manukyan, Stepan Demirchyan.
