As of May 19, President’s advisor Bagrat Esayan was removed from his position on the basis of the president’s order. The same day, on the basis of the prime minister’s order, Bagrat Esayan was appointed deputy minister of education. In fact Bagrat Esayan, who represents the ARF, replaced Norayr Ghukasyan, who was the former deputy minister. As for the president’s advisor’s position, it is not clear yet who the next president’s advisor on corruption-related issues will be. Perhaps Kocharyan understands that there is no need for such a position. It’s absurd to have this kind of position because he knows how to fight against corruption. Besides that, he knows how to hide corruption as well.
