“If new political parties are being founded in Armenia, it means that Armenia is democratic”, said head of the Armenian World congress Ara Abrahamnyan on Wednesday. Armenia would probably be proud of its democratic performance connected with the newly established “Prosperous Armenia” and “Union for Armenia” parties, if Artashes Tumanyan was not punished so strictly for founding his own party called “New State”. Maybe Ara Abrahamyan hadn’t heard about this punishment or just didn’t want to speak about that.
