“Nairit” Sold For 2 Million?

25/07/2005

Recently, owner of the “Flesh” company Barsegh Beglaryan is proud to
say that he bought the “Nairit” factory for only 2 million dollars.
Sources say that the “HyeKap” bank who has provided loans to the
“Nairit” factory was the one who convinced Barsegh Beglaryan to buy the
factory. “Nairit” had received a $15,000,000 million dollar loan from
the bank a couple of years ago. According to this agreement, if Barsegh
Beglaryan does not redeem the loan, he can then become a large
share-holder of the “Nairit” factory. Rumor has it that the President
of the Central Bank Tigran Sargsyan has played a major role here.
What’s amazing is that being a businessman himself, Barsegh Beglaryan
actually believed that he could purchase “Nairit” factory for $2
million dollars when the factory’s debt consists of $24 million
dollars. As for “Volga Burmashi”, who is the current owner of the
“Nairit” factory, they are still looking over the factory and trying to
find the right courses to take in redeeming the debts. They are getting
ready to meet with Armenian authorities on this occasion.
