There are rumors spreading that Armen Sargsyan will soon be released
from jail. Prime Minister Andranik Markaryan said the following to one
of the journalists: “In general, I think that anything is possible. If
they release Samvel Babayan from jail, then it is possible that they
release Armen Sargsyan after a while”. Armen Sargsyan’s brother-in-law,
member of the Armenian Republican Party and National Assembly deputy
Lernik Aleksanyan said that sources had told him that there is new
evidence which can give us a chance to further study the case again. “I
think that if the facts are investigated carefully, it will be possible
to release him from jail. I can not say when and how, but it will be
discussed and put up for investigation. Surely, some things will
change,” said L. Aleksanyan
