In the beginning of the 2000s, the “Elinet” company was founded and was
involved in the trafficking of phone lines. Edward Madatyan received
his share of the company starting from the first day as Minister of
Communications and Transportation. Later, the share-holding went on to
Vice Minister of Communications and Transportation Hayk Tchshmarityan,
who is also a relative of the Minister of Industry and Trade Karen
Tchshmarityan. After a while, Hayk Tchshmarityan has transferred his
share-holding to a third party. There are other companies involved in
the trafficking of phone lines, such as “Amma Group”, “Aurora
Telecommunications”(whose cards are sold at SAS supermarket and other
stores), the “Mergelyan” telecommunications, “Intranet” and others.
Everyone knows that all these companies are sponsored by high rank
officials.
