Two days ago, director of the administrative staff of the Kashatagh
region (Lachin) in Nagorno Karabagh Aleksan Hakobyan was removed from
office. Vice director Gagik Kosakyan has been appointed as a
replacement. Aleksan Hakobyan announced that he had wanted to be
removed because he had found another job. Mr. Hakobyan did not go into
further details about what job he was being offered, but he did point
out that he had appealed for quitting the job as director of
administrative staff three days ago. The Prime Minister of the Republic
of Nagorno Karabagh had affirmed that decision. According to sources,
someone by the name of Mr. Vartanyan is the one who has eyes set on
occupying that office. He is currently working in the administrative
staff of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
