Yesterday the Ukrainian “Ukrprombank” officially announced that they had bought 35% of the Armenian “Arminvest” bank stocks. This announcement states that the Ukrainian bank bought the share of the mentioned Armenian bank with its own financial resources. They didn’t give any information concerning the paid sum for the mentioned share and any other activities of the bank. According to the information of the Ukrainian association of banks, as of March 1, 2006, “Ukrprombank” placed 12th in the banking system of Ukraine with its actives, and came in 9th with its capital. According to “Arminfo” news agency the main capital of “Arminvest” bank is about 5,3 million dollars (it places 14th in Armenia). According to our sources, as of December, 2005, 35% of the used stocks of “Arminvest” bank belong to Grigor Sukiasyan, 15,6% to the Armenian “Unibank”, and the rest-49,4%- belonged to other share holders with a proportion no higher than 10%.
