Press secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Hamlet Gasparyan has told a reporter from ArmInfo that so far, the Armenian side has managed to prevent Karen Avanesyan from being exiled from Great Britain to Azerbaijan. Karen Avanesyan left for Great Britain three years ago as an illegal immigrant, ha studied there and has lived on the subsidy given to him by the government since he didn’t have the right to work. K. Avanesyan’s father is from Azerbaijan and has abandoned the family when Karen was a little boy. Karen hasn’t been able to get the right to take refuge in Great Britain. Since Karen Avanesyan was born in Karabagh, the British have decided to exile him to Baku, due to the fact that they consider his homeland to be Azerbaijan. According to the decision made long before, Karen Avanesyan was supposed to be exiled from London to Moscow today and then on to Azerbaijan.
