The education and science deputy minister Ara Avetisyan played a key role in the failure of the Yerevan State University rector elections. The head of the university juridical department, candidate Gagik Ghazinyan agrees with this. According to him during these elections the head of the University board, Serj Sargsyan was very careful and didn’t interfere at all. Answering to our information whether he didn’t think that this might be an order from “the higher authorities” to do so he said, “Time will show, if it is so, you are right”.
