On March 24 the U.S. Department of State gave training facilities worth $400000 to the Armenian police academy to train policemen. Regarding this, the U.S. deputy Ambassador, Anthony Godfree said, “The Police is a democratic institution that is in direct contact with people. That is why it is very important for Armenian policemen to be well trained and show everyone that police place high emphasis on human rights.”
