Nowadays, there is a political scandal in Kenya connected with two Armenians. One of them announced that he is the cousin of president Kocharyan and is occupied in gold and diamond businesses in Asia and Africa. The Kenyan press writes that they had to provide financial support to get certain number of votes in the parliament to draw a vote of no confidence for the government of Mva Kibaki. We tried to ask about the president’s cousin in Africa from the president’s press secretary Viktor Soghomonyan and he said, “I have never heard about the cousin in Africa”. On the one hand we understand why one of those Armenians presented himself as the president’s cousin. If they said the names, for instance, of Hovik Abrahamyan or Sergo Eritsyan it would not mean anything. But on the other hand, some things remain unclear.
