Condemning

10/03/2006

Hrachya Galstyan, Aghasi Yenokyan, Vahagn Khachatryan, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Petros Makeyan and David Shahnazaryan made an announcement yesterday.

“Based on the results of the recent negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, both countries are mostly concerned about keeping the status quo of the Karabagh conflict settlement. Robert Kocharyan came to power back in 1998 and continues delaying the settlement simply because he wants to prolong his term and hinder Armenia’s development. In the past eight years, Armenia has had to overcome all the obstacles in politics and economy. Elimination of democracy, human rights, as well as freedoms and freedom of press, establishment of oligarchic and almost feudal relations, non-participation in large economic projects of cosmopolitan importance and the high number in emigration-all this is making Armenia lose its state image and threatens the security of the people of Karabagh.”

They are condemning the Armenian authorities for… “Not settling the Karabagh conflict and are certain that settling the conflict without making compromises may be fatal for both Armenia and Karabagh.”
