The prime minister evaluated the annual statement of the environmental protection ministry as “good”. According to Vardan Ajvazyan the main achievement of the ministry in 2005 was the increase of the Sevan lake water level for 174 cm. Now the water is on the same level as it used to be in 1991. But Mr. Ajvazyan said that in parallel to that they had to also take actions to keep the water clean and they had provided 50 million dram from the budget for this purpose.
