According to Robert Kocharyan’s decree , as of Jan. 17th, Gagik Jhangiryan was dismissed from the position of RA military prosecutor. According to another presidential decree, Armen Khatryan was appointed as military prosecutor of RA. This change is construed in the following way: the body is to be stereotyped, many cases are not properly investigated and this has made way for a great wave of public complaint. It’s not possible to easily dismiss Mr. Jhangiryan, because he might open the door of the “safe.” Besides that, his close relationship with his former personnel and his obligations to many of them do not allow them to investigate cases.
