According to the British “Economist” newspaper, the EU may stop negotiations for letting Turkey join the union if famous writer Orhan Pamuk is sentenced for hurting the self-esteem of Turkish people. The judicial process had to take place on December 16 in Istanbul, but it was postponed until February 7, 2006.
