Russian “Alrosa” diamond producing company failed to come to an arrangement with Indian “Sterlite Industries Limited” company regarding purchasing the Ararat Gold Company (AGRC). For this purpose some representatives of “Alrosa” company visited Armenia and met with the officials of this company, as well as with some state officials. The parties were not able to make a deal because “Alrosa” offered very low prices for this company. It is worth to mention that the whole stock package of AGRC belongs to Indian “Sterlite Industries Limited” company. This company has invested more than 40 million dollars in AGRC during these last years.
