On January the Armenian lawyers of Los Angeles applied to the court to institute proceedings against the German “Dolce” and “Drezdner” banks to return the money of the Armenian victims of the Genocide. According to “Asparez” newspaper (Los Angeles) the lawyers are going to write in their application to the court that the banks have always refused to reimburse the money belonging to Armenians that had kept that money in the banks before the Genocide of 1915. According to the newspaper, the lawyers (Mark Kiragos, Brian Kabatek and Vardges Eghiayan), due to whose efforts the “New York Life” and “AXA” insurance companies reimbursed more than 37 million dollars to the families of the victims, are also going to require the banks to reimburse the money belonging to Armenians which was taken by the Turkish government during the Genocide. The authors of this application petitioned all Armenians living in the US to organize a rally near the “Dolce Bank” representative office in Los Angeles.
