Broken Cycle

“The Minister of Justice knows just how many random political parties
there are out there: Any family that goes to a banquet or something
like that forms a political party,” said member of the “National
Deputy” club Vahram Barseghyan yesterday during the National Assembly’s
discussion concerning the voting code. Barseghyan considers the
formation of political parties a “partisan law”. Director of the UN
Gurgen Arsenyan suggested “not to drive the bicycle” because “it is
broken.” “Enough is enough. We have to create a type of voting system
where different political forces can have the opportunity to come to
power through the means of fair elections.”
