After the session of the council of defense ministers of the CIS countries, head of the main headquarters for Russia’s Armed Forces Yuri Baluyevski said that it is absurd to talk about Armenia having super armed forces. According to “ITAR-TASS”, in response to the question given by the Azeri journalist, Baluyevski stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan were left with almost the same amount of weapons and ammunition after the collapse of the Soviet Union. “Although Armenia is the main ally of Russia in the entire region, however, Armenia is not going to be supplied with weapons that can be used to solve strategic issues,” said head of the main headquarters for Russia’s Armed Forces.
