“Liberation” keeps silence

27/11/2005

More than 200 employees of French “Liberation” daily have been making a strike since Monday. This company has been around since 1973 and this strike is the biggest one in the history of the company. The reason for this strike is the financial crisis of the company and their activities contradicting the interests of the company employees. This year the budget deficit of “Liberation” is about 6,5 million Euro. The sale capacity of this newspaper has decreased by 9.8 % this year. Of course this strike will make the position of the other biggest companies in the market more sustainable (“Figaro” and “Le Monde”).
